About the Show

Inside NAU is the university’s premiere program highlighting the people, research and points of interest at Northern Arizona University. Hosted by Theresa Bierer, this series covers topics of interest to northern Arizonans, including sustainability, science, diversity, education and student achievements.

Season 4

Ep. 17

This episode of Inside NAU includes a trip south, where NAU students at Pinal County are earning degrees. The Landsward Institute offers many opportunities for students this summer. In this show, Honors students are highlighted, along with a unique project by some senior engineering students.

Ep. 16

This episode of Inside NAU looks at some unique partnerships which will help the university move forward in new and unique ways. The Center for American Indian Economic Development is also highlighted, as are some of our finest student athletes.

Ep. 15

This episode of Inside NAU examines a new degree offered statewide beginning this fall. We’ll also hear the amazing voices of some NAU opera students who performed in Mozart’s The Magic Flute. Northern Arizona University President John Haeger is in the Spotlight.

Ep. 14

Inside NAU is offering a look back at some favorites from earlier this season as well as something new. From Siena, Italy, and Paradise Valley to an innovative effort to thwart bark beetles' efforts in northern Arizona, this episode of Inside NAU highlights many interesting people and programs on the campus of NAU.

Ep. 13

This episode of Inside NAU, highlights changes in curriculum at Northern Arizona University. We’ll also introduce you to a unique group of parents who are working to help students on campus. And in our Student Life story, Haley Quiner introduces us to some students who took a polar plunge to raise money for Special Olympics.

Ep. 12

This episode of Inside NAU highlights a designation that could make NAU more competitive in the sciences. We’ll also hear how song on campus is raising money for the fight against cancer. Cindy Anderson is in the Spotlight talking about how living on campus enhances the student experience.

Ep. 11

This episode features a unique documentary project underway in Ghana with NAU staff and faculty. The program also introduces viewers to the man behind the largest college on campus: SBS. And in our Student Life segment, it's an up-close look at the School of Hotel and Restaurant Management.

Ep. 10

Degrees of Green is an Inside NAU Special highlighting the Master of Arts in Sustainability Program. It has been recognized nationally as a leader in such programs because of its interdisciplinary study program and the call to action of students. The special looks the curriculum and the people behind the degree.

Ep. 9

This episode features the "Student Life" segment. Student Life Reporter Haley Quiner brings us stories on the Center for International Education, Disability Services, as well as Campus Recreation. We also hear from Mark Neumann, Director of the School of Communication, who takes his turn "In the Spotlight."

This episode highlights the "In The Spotlight" segment. Prominent NAU figures featured are NAU President John Haeger, College of Education Dean Dan Kain, Forestry Regents' Professor Wally Covington, Sustainability Director Heather Farley, and College of Arts & Letters Dean Michael Vincent.

This episode features the Greenbuild Conference, Doug Small comments on Community College Campuses in the Greater Phoenix area, Study Abroad in Italy, Director of NAU's School of Communications Mark Neumann "In The Spotlight," and NAU students work in the Grand Canyon.

This week's episodes feature Northern Arizona University's GPS program, a family enrolled in Extended Campuses, the history of the Lumberjack, construction on the new Health and Learning Center, Michael Vincent is "In The Spotlight", and we meet with physically challenged students with a rewarding experience here at NAU.
