Northern Arizona University's Ardrey Auditorium is a community venue for entertainment. Unfortunately, the chairs are 40 years old and uncomfortable for most patrons. So the university has launched a fundraising campaign to replace the chairs called, 'TheTake A Seat Campaign.'

• TVS Recognition

NAU TV has received 7 Emmy nominations, an exciting achievement for the department and the university.

• Camp Soar

One of NAU TV's seven Emmy nominations is for a feature on Camp Soaring Eagle, an organization providing opportunities for children with critical illnesses. The piece was produced by NAU's Jerry Anderfuren.

• Research Awards

Several of Northern Arizona University's finest were recognized during the recent Research Open House at the Applied Research and Development building. NAU President Dr. John Haeger and Vice President of Research Dr. Laura Huenneke say the awards are important milestones in the careers of faculty and staff.

• Warren Buffet

A group of students from the WA Franke College of Business will be heading to Omaha, Nebraska, soon to meet businessman Warren Buffett. The Dean of the business college, Marc Chopin, says the trip could be a highlight of many students' time at NAU.

• Volcano Flower

The Ecological Restoration Institute's Bonnie Stevens reports on a rare and beautiful flower, found just one place on earth: volcanic fields east of Flagstaff.

• What's Cooking

NAU TV's program 'What's Cooking?' highlights local chefs in Flagstaff. Because of the hard work of producer Cindy Catizone and host Mitch Strohman, this segment highlighting Pesto Brothers Restaurant owner Richard Fernandez was nominated for an Emmy.
