    Bill joined the staff at NAU-TV in June of 2000. He has worn numerous hats for the department and currently serves as the Manager of Television Services. His broadcast career began at Wisconsin Public Television where he advanced to become Senior Producer/Director for Sports & Special Projects. In addition to producing and directing coverage of Badger football, basketball, hockey and volleyball, Bill directed Ethics & The Deficit, hosted by Jim Lehrer of The Newshour; a 1992 town hall meeting featuring Vice Presidential candidates; WPT’s Midwest Emmy winning news & public affairs program, WeekEnd and assisted Oscar-winning director Delbert Mann on a televised production of Memoirs of Abraham Lincoln. After moving to Arizona in 1996, he worked as an observer at Lowell Observatory for two years, discovering thirteen near-Earth asteroids and five comets.

    During his career at NAU-TV, Bill produced and directed Educación Española, Beginning Tai Chi with Patrick Martin, several NAU Opera productions, the first season of The Score and many NAU Commencement ceremonies. He also led the formation of the sports production unit, served as producer/director of Lumberjack Sports from 2006 to 2009 and has produced numerous video messages for university departments. He also managed the upgrades for NAU-TV’s television production truck and master control to digital HD facilities. He remains an avid astronomy enthusiast, enjoys hiking and backpacking in Grand Canyon, and HDR photography.
